Itching for a change

The Washington Post's politics blog The Fix has a dissection of a recent poll telling us how pissed off people really are as we move towards the election in two months.

Turnout will be the most important factor of the upcoming election. Midterms are typically low turnout affairs with only the most dedicated partisans casting their ballots. To date, intensity among Democrats has far outweighed that of their GOP counterparts. Republicans are hoping that a focus on terrorism will energize their base, thereby neutralizing the Democratic fervor.

I honestly don't know what to believe, but I do know this: we can't keep on the way we have. Congress has become rife with craziness and corruption and the candidates we're seeing are pretty nuts also (Can you say Katherine Harris?).

Where does this end?

Back from the cruise with a buzz1

So I went on a cruise with Mrs. Sloopy and what do I find in beautiful downtown Nassau?

The local purveyor of liquid crack!

More about the cruise later. Enjoy!
